High-grade mirror polishing aluminum is widely used in various types of high-grade civilian products, such as hotels, household indoor bathroom door and furniture products, product appearance that makes with its luxurious, and can be colored or dyed according to requirements. Currently, the developed areas such as Europe, America and southeast Asia have been widely promoted and have good market prospect.
High-grade mirror polishing aluminum due to the strict requirements of surface quality, to production caused great difficulty, especially the long expected (6 m) batch production in the process of how to achieve the stable quality and reduce waste, but also the difficulties in production and management. Extruded ingot purity and chemical composition and the internal organization of extruded aluminum surface quality and the polishing glossiness influence is very big, so the high quality ingot is the premise of polished aluminum.
The purity of the squeeze cast
The higher the purity of the ingot is, the better the polishing effect of the extruded aluminum material. The purity of ingot depends on the content of metal impurities and non-metallic impurities in the ingot. The metal impurities mainly refer to Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Cr, Ti and so on. The most important of these impurities is Fe. The effect of Fe is that it can form a primary precipitates containing Al, Si, the precipitates in Al almost no solid solubility, will increase to the extrusion speed sensitive surface defects, pits, tear, and seriously affect the smoothness and brightness of polishing. The content of Fe is generally under 01%, and the Fe content of some polishing plants in America is below 008%. On the other hand, non-metallic impurities also have important effects, especially H2 porosity and Al2O3 slag inclusion. H2 Al2O3 extruded ingot porosity and slag directly cause extrusion aluminum surface deterioration, appear white spots, mosquito feet, adhesion of aluminum with even severe pits. In order to reduce the content of H2 and Al2O3, in addition to the use of high-quality high-purity aluminum, as far as possible do not squeeze bits and pieces, especially oxidation waste. While ensuring the exhaust and refining of the furnace, the exhaust gas and ceramic filtration are increased to ensure that the content of H2 in the ingot is below 015ml/100g.
The chemical composition of extrusion casting
The amount of Mg, Si and Cu in the extruded cast is equally important to the 6463 alloy polishing aluminum. The first consideration is to use low Si and low Mg as long as the process conditions meet aluminum intensity requirements. Because of the decrease in the total amount of Mg + Si, it can improve the solid phase temperature of the alloy, thus reducing the occurrence of the liquid tear, and also improve the surface quality and gloss.
On the other hand, the proportion of Mg and Si should be appropriate. After the formation of the enhanced phase Mg2Si and the impurity phase FeAlSi, the Mg excess or the Si excess will have different consequences. Because of excessive Mg will reduce the solubility of Mg2Si and thus reduce the mechanical properties, while excessive Mg will significantly increase the pressure (relative excess Si); and Si (the proper amount of consumption but also consider Fe Si) not only improve the mechanical performance, and has no effect on extrusion performance (relative excess Mg), but it is best not to excess Si more than 02%, otherwise the elongation and elongation will decrease.
The second is the content of Cu. The purpose of adding Cu in ingot is to improve the sensitivity of aluminum to chemical polishing and to improve the brightness. But the content can not be too high, it is best to control in the range of 01~013%, too high will affect the quality of extruded aluminum surface.
